RIAL - Workshops and SeminarsThese activities are spaces for dialogue, reflection, analysis and sharing of experiences, practices, methodologies and lessons learned regarding the management of the main topics of labor administration. Workshops and Seminars to take place during 2008-2009: • Workshop on social dialogue and social cohesion - Montevideo, Uruguay, April 15, 2008 • Seminar on Youth Employment - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, May 20 and 21, 2008 • Third Workshop on Occupational Health and Safety - Cusco, Peru, October 21 and 22, 2008 • Workshop on Public Employment Services – Panama City, December 10 and 11, 2008 • Workshop on Labour Migration and Labour Market Information Systems - Quebec City, Canada, February 24-25, 2009 • Workshop on Labor Inspection (jointly with Working Groups meeting) - Washington D.C., May 19 to 22, 2009 Up to date the following workshops and seminars have taken place within the RIAL framework: • Workshop on Labor Dimension of FTAs and Regional Integration Processes - July 10, 2007. Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago• Workshop on Technical Assistance for the IACML - San José, Costa Rica, May 8, 2007 • Workshop “ Migrant workers: Protection of labor rights and labor market programs” - Ottawa, Canada, November 28-29, 2006, hosted by the Labour Program of Human Resources and Social Development Canada. • Seminar on Labor Intermediation and Labor Observatories - Morelos, Mexico, November 7, 2006, hosted by the Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare of Mexico (Chair pro tempore of the XIV IACML) • Second Hemispheric Workshop on Occupational Health and Safety - San Salvador, El Salvador, May 16 and 17, 2006, hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Provision of El Salvador.
