This Seminar was jointly organized by the Ministry of Labor and Employment of Brazil, the United States Department of Labor and the Organization of American States (OAS). It was part of the IACML Calendar of Activities for 2008-2009.
The Seminar provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and analyze various topics relevant to youth employment in the Americas. Technical representatives from 29 Ministries of Labor of the region participated, as well as members of COSATE and CEATAL, representatives of international organizations such as ILO, IDB, World Bank, WAPES and more than 10 non-governmental organizations.

DESCRIPTION
The Seminar provided a space for dialogue, reflection and exchange of experiences. It sought to identify lessons learned that will improve and enhance the effectiveness of the strategies and programs aimed at developing the potential of our youth through productive jobs and decent work.
