Planning Meeting in preparation to the 2005 World Safety and Health Congress sponsored
by the ILO and the National Safety Council, among others. The Congress also has the support of
the OAS and PAHO

Objectives:

- Plan the participation of the Inter American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML) at the 2005 World Safety and
Health Congress (WSC), by engaging the Ministries and high level authorities in the region.

- Take the 2005 WSC as an opportunity to strengthen the hemispheric cooperation and dialogue on the
area of Occupational Health and Safety in the Americas

- Define the topics and key speakers of the 2005 WSC, by a strategic planning processs

- Formulate dissemination and promotion strategies aimed at increasing the Americas participation at the
2005 WSC. Also, establish mechanisms to offer scholarships to the under-represented and vulnerable segments
of the population.
