Wynne Young was appointed Deputy Minister of Saskatchewan
Learning in April 2006. She had previously been the Deputy
Minister of Community Resources and Employment since 2004, and the
Chair of the Saskatchewan Public Service Commission from 1997 to
2004. Wynne has been with the Government of Saskatchewan for
twenty-two years and has held a number of policy and management
positions in the Departments of Health and Finance and she was also
a Senior Policy Advisor in the Policy and Planning Unit of Executive
Council.
Ms. Young is the National Vice-President of IPAC (Institute of
Public Administration of Canada) and Chair of the International
Committee. Locally, she is also Vice-President of the Regina YMCA.
Ms. Young has her Masters of Education (Administration) from the
University of Regina, her Bachelor of Arts, and a Diploma in Dental
Hygiene from the University of Manitoba.
