Program on the Implementation of Trade Agreements: The Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Peru, the Ministry of
Economy and Finance and PROINVERSION,
the OAS Department of Trade, Tourism and
Competitiveness, UNCTAD, and the
International Centre for Settlement of
Investment Disputes (ICSID) with the
support of several law firms: White &
Case, Sidley Austin, Estudio Rubio,
Leguía, Normand and Associates and
Estudio Echecopar
organized a
national seminar and
specialized workshops on investor-State
disputes which took place on May 22-24
in Lima.
The seminar gave the opportunity to government officials involved in the implementation of the United States-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement and to representatives of law firms and the academic sector to deepen their knowledge on a series of issues related to the management of investor-State disputes.
