The Member States of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS)
have made foreign and domestic investments a central pillar of their
economic development strategy. They are fully cognizant that their
attractiveness to foreign and local investors and the feasibility of
individual investment projects are closely linked to their policy
environment, which encompasses the level of transparency in terms of doing
business in each of their countries.
Since 2003, the OAS Department of Trade and Tourism has provided support to OECS
countries in the implementation of their investment policy reform agenda,
particularly with regard to the identification of the legal and administrative
barriers aimed at investors.
The OECS Investment Gateway provides information on the key elements of the
investment climate in six OECS Member States. It highlights each country's main
characteristics, as well as investment conditions, policies, and framework. It
aims to contribute to the enhancement of investment opportunities in the OECS
region by offering a practical guide for investors and practitioners.
The OECS Investment Gateway includes the following sections: Country Profile, Establishing a Business, Incentives, Infrastructure, Investment Procedures, Labour, Taxation, Trade Information, and Contact Information. |
