SEDI supports municipalities in Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Paraguay by donating ESRI geospatial cadastre software

After a competitive selection process of several proposals presented by municipalities from eight countries, the SEDI has selected six municipalities that will benefit from the donation of ESRI's Arc software.  Each software package license, containing work station and server components, has an approximate value of US$ 60,000 and represents a fundamental support for their geographic information system cadastre and land property registration services. The benefits from these projects will impact the selected local governments and their population.  The total number of inhabitants in these municipalities is of over 2 million people. The selected municipalities are the following:

1. Alajuela, Costa Rica
2. Asunción, Paraguay
3. Loja, Ecuador
4. San José, Costa Rica
5. San Miguel de Ibarra, Ecuador y
6. La región de Bío Bío, Chile

This is one of the results of the alliance between the SEDI and ESRI valued at US$ 1.4 million. The SEDI sincerely congratulates the selected municipalities and appreciates ESRI's commitment to support the development of the region.
